While at work, I am going to scan a notebook I found while cleaning out my studio. I want to see what becomes of this and this first image is a start.

On January 6, 2000 a group of musicians and music-loving technologists came together with the idea of creating the most comprehensive analysis of music ever.

Together we set out to capture the essence of music at the most fundamental level. We ended up assembling literally hundreds of musical attributes or "genes" into a very large Music Genome. Taken together these genes capture the unique and magical musical identity of a song - everything from melody, harmony and rhythm, to instrumentation, orchestration, arrangement, lyrics, and of course the rich world of singing and vocal harmony. More Modern

Here are some more ideas on turning the modern wing into a runway for a fashion show.

Modern Wing Interactive

As part of re-thinking the new modern wing, I thought it would be great to have touch screen computers for the public to use to interact with the museum, as well providing the public with free internet access and wi-fi, as a way to promote the modern wing and provide the public with a standard for internet access.

In my opinion the types of technology that are readily available to the general visitor are not enough because technology has advance in ways not possible when the wing was designed 15 years ago. Considering the accessibility and usability for the public currently, I think the museum could update the interface with huge touch screen computers as a way for the public to interact with getting tickets and talking to customer service about issues. The whole idea is to create the planning of a trip around the visitor's self driven route while in the space.

I also think that the current lay out of the space is just fine, but can be use to support more local artist work on the screens and monitors already in place. Maybe add a few more monitors in tucked away corners as a way to highlight those spaces.
